you seem to have the right idea- wanting the rear to break loose before the front- but generally wider tires are the wrong direction to go if you want it to break loose first. you could just overinflate the rear tires if you wanted, but it would seem to me that you should try to increase front grip rather than decrease rear grip as far as tires go.
